Notes:
This is NOT the Steel Spartan used as a free mail-away promotional figure in 2009. That figure was more of a teal-green color. See the Teal - vs - Steel comparison pictures below.
The Steel gray Spartan II was a 2010 promotional item at several stores and events.

This figure was issued with a black assault rifle and a green camouflage 2x4 brick for a display stand.
Teal - vs - Steel
Although both versions of the Steel Spartan II use the same mold, there are several differences in the two figures.
The 2009 Steel Spartan (right) is a teal green color while the 2010 version is a dark gray color.
The 2009 version has gray gloves while the 2010 version has black gloves.
The 2010 version has black paint applications on his boots.
Steel - vs - Steel
In 2014, as part of the Spartan Tribute Pack, Mega released another Steel Spartan II. This figure was very similar to the 2010 version with only a few differences.
The 2014 figure (right) has a mat finish as compared to the 2010's semi gloss finish.
The visor on the 2014 figure is a few shades darker than the 2010 figure.
The breathers on the left and right side of the helmet are painted black on the 2010 figure.
The 2010 figure has a light gray hip connector while the 2014 connector is black.
The most noticeable difference in the two figures is the 2010 figure has a heavier amount of black wash.
