This teal colored spartan was the "Steel" promotional give-a-way Spartan.
In 2010 Mega released a second Steel Spartan as part of a different promotional give-a-way. This spartan was gray with a back wash. (see comparison photo)
This is the original mold for Spartan II's in Mark IV armor.

STEEL SPARTAN II 2009 vs 2010

Although both versions of the Steel Spartan II use the same mold, there are several differences in the two figures.
The 2009 Steel Spartan (right) has a teal green color while the 2010 version has a dark gray color.
The 2009 version has gray gloves while the 2010 version has black gloves.
The 2010 version has black paint applications on his boots.

The image to the left was one of two images in Mega's press release announcing the 10,000 Spartan online give-a-way. Although the word steel was used to describe the figure, it is clearly teal in color.
