Forgive me for being an "uncultured creten, but my first questions was "What is gamescom?"
Gamescom is the world's largest annual video game trade fair and festival, held at the Koelnmesse exhibition center in Cologne, Germany, in late August.
Gamescom offers a dynamic experience with game reveals where studios showcase trailers and news for upcoming video games. Attendees can engage with playable demos, trying out new games and hardware before their official release. The event also features community activities like cosplay, esports tournaments, board games, and creator meetups. Additionally, a business hub allows industry professionals, developers, and media to network and participate in developer conferences. (AI helped with this paragraph cause I was struggling. Mattel's newly promoted President, Chief Marketing and Brand Officer, Roberto Stanichi, announced on his LinkedIn page that Mattel Brick Shop will display the XBOX25 at Gamescom 2026, inviting fans to be the first to see it.
