• This is the first Skirmisher from Mega.

• With the exception of the hands, every part of this figure is a new mold.

• Based on the colors, this is most likely a Skirmisher Minor. In Halo lore these are the lowest ranking Skirmishers and can be identified by their black feathers and gray armor.

• In the real world, a Skirmisher is a type of light infantry or cavalry often used to scout, harass the enemy, and screen the main body of troops from enemy attacks. They engage in light or sporadic combat, aiming to delay enemy movement, disrupt their attack, and weaken their morale.

T'vaoans Skirmisher

The role of Skirmisher is exclusively filled by Kig-Yar warriors, particularly in the Covenant and Banished militaries. Within the Covenant forces, this position was almost solely occupied by the T'vaoan subspecies of Kig-Yar.

T'vaoan skirmishers in battle during the Fall of Reach.

The T'vaoans originated from the Kig-Yar homeworld, Eayn. They eventually expanded to other areas within the Y'Deio system, mainly the asteroid T'vao, from which their name is derived. The higher gravity, significant atmospheric changes, and other harsh environmental conditions on T'vao caused the T'vaoans to evolve quite differently from other Kig-Yar.
